The Pentagon stated Sunday it should ship an air protection system together with about 100 U.S. troops to function it.
President Biden advised Protection Secretary Lloyd Austin to ship Terminal Excessive-Altitude Space Protection battery and crew to Israel, Pentagon Press Secretary Maj. Gen. Ryder stated in a press release.
The deployment comes after two direct missile assaults from Iran in opposition to Israel on April 13 and Oct. 1. Israel has not but responded to the most recent missile assault.
“This motion underscores the US’ ironclad dedication to the protection of Israel, and to defend People in Israel, from any additional ballistic missile assaults by Iran,” Ryder stated within the assertion.
