Trump to Go to Georgia in Aftermath of Devastation from Hurricane Helene

President Donald Trump will go to the town of Valdosta, Georgia, which was left devastated within the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

In a press launch issued on Sunday, the Trump marketing campaign introduced that Trump can be visiting Valdosta “to obtain a briefing on the devastation” from the hurricane and to “facilitate the distribution of aid provides.”

“President Donald J. Trump, forty fifth President of the USA of America, will go to Valdosta, Georgia to obtain a briefing on the devastation of Hurricane Helene, facilitate the distribution of aid provides, and ship remarks to the press on Monday,” the Trump marketing campaign wrote.

Valdosta Mayor Scott James Matheson confirmed to WALB that there have been three deaths reported on account of Hurricane Helene.

“So it’s three,” Matheson mentioned in a press release to the outlet. “It’s three for us. And much more harm then we sustained than Idalia, much more harm for the penetration of the bushes to roofs and homes as effectively.”

Video footage posted to X by Billy Heath, a photojournalist with Fox5 Atlanta, confirmed broken sustained to “historic buildings” in downtown Valdosta.

Trump’s go to to Valdosta comes as communities in western North Carolina, equivalent to the town of Asheville, skilled flooding and widespread devastation on account of the hurricane.

As of Sunday morning, the North Carolina Division of Transportation reported that there have been “300 street incidents” remaining, which embrace greater than “50 on most important roads.”

Video footage posted to X confirmed buildings, houses, autos underwater, roads, and bridges wiped away, in Asheville, and close by areas, on account of the rain and flooding from the hurricane.





Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R), and his spouse Suzanne, have been seen passing out sandwiches to first responders and residents of Darrow, Virginia, who have been left affected by the hurricane.
