Main League Baseball introduced the Gold Glove winners tonight, as chosen by a gaggle of managers, coaches, and statistical evaluation. Twenty-five % of the choice whole was decided by SABR’s Defensive Index metrics, whereas the opposite 75 % was decided by votes from all 30 managers and as much as six coaches from every crew. The utility Gold Glove was decided in a separate vogue, through a defensive formulation calculated by SABR and Rawlings.
